Frequently
Asked
Questions

We want you to be as prepared as possible for your session, so we’ve tried to answer our most commonly asked questions here.

How do I make a booking?

To make a booking, you simply need to pay for the package that you would like to initially book (e.g. Studio Package, Mark Morffew Location Package). We can then make an appointment for you on an available day and time that suit you.

What if I’m not sure which package I want?

If you’re not sure which package to choose, then we recommend starting with one of the smaller studio packages and then adding on other photos after your shoot. You could also choose one of our studio packages that include a credit amount towards your order - this allows you to order products based on the photos that you love. You can view a guide to some of our most popular products and sizes here. Please feel free to contact us to discuss packages if you’re still unsure.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes - we offer payment plans on orders through our partners Afterpay and Payright. Afterpay is available for online purchases up to $2000 (subject to your available Afterpay balance). You can also use Afterpay for orders in-store up to $2000 by simply tapping your digital Afterpay card. Payright interest-free plans are not available for online purchases, but can be used for orders in-store up to $10,000. For more information, please see our Payment Options page here.

Do you sell digital files?

We still believe in the importance of having a physical print or framed photograph, so we don’t sell digital files by themselves. You do have the option of purchasing an image as a print with a file, or a finished product (e.g. framed print or acrylic) with a file. See our pricing guide here for more information.

Do we get all of the images from our shoot on a USB?

No. Many photographers will give you all of the images straight out of the camera with no processing, however we pride ourselves on delivering beautiful, high quality images to our customers. Each images that you purchase is retouched & colour corrected to meet our quality standards.

How long is the photo shoot?

This really depends on the type of session (e.g. studio or outdoor) and the number of photos you are looking to purchase. Most sessions take around 30-40 minutes, however it really depends on the kids!

How many photos do you take?

There is no set limit to the number of photos we take. It really depends on how many photos you want to purchase and how many different combinations you require, but we always make sure we take enough to get great shots.

Do you offer retouching?

Yes - we offer retouching from simple blemish removal to more complex jobs. We retouch all of the images that you purchase to our usual standards, however if there is anything specific that you would like done your designer will be happy to assist with this.

Do I have to order my photos on the day of the shoot?

One personalised design session is included with your session fee. Most people prefer to do this on the same day as the shoot so it’s all finalised in one go, however you can book the design session for another day within 2 weeks of the shoot date. Your order needs to be finalised at the end of your design session, so we recommend that you have taken some time beforehand to work out where you would display photos, how many you need, sizes etc.

Can I select my photos from home?

One of our skilled designers will help you to select your favourite photos at the studio and assist with cropping & the many different finishing options. We don’t offer a service to select your photos from home.

When will my order be ready to collect?

Your order will usually be ready to collect within 3-12 weeks from the day it is placed. As every order is customised and all of our products are hand-crafted with expert care, we need to take time to ensure that everything is perfect. If you need anything urgently or by a specific date you can discuss this with your designer.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We prefer you to book an appointment in advance so that we can guarantee that you get the best time for your family to ensure that everyone is in the best mood possible. If you do need a shoot ASAP, contact your nearest studio and we can see what the next available session is.

What if my children don’t behave?

We specialise in photographing kids, so we have all the tricks to keep them engaged during the shoot. On the rare occasion that things don’t go to plan, we will make another appointment. Kids can be completely different from one day to the next, so you never know!

What is the best age to photograph a baby?

There really is no correct answer to this question. All ages are different stages in development and we love to capture them all. We’ll make sure that we capture the best images that we can at any age - even from just a few days old!
